Aventurine is a translucent stone gemstone also known as Indian Jade. It is a form of chalcedony (quartz) that contains small inclusions of mica or iron oxide that give the stone a granular appearance and glistening effect. Most Aventurine is reddish brown or yellow, although a green variety is also known. Miriam created several Green Aventurine necklaces for her collection.
This sleek and modern Green Aventurine Necklace has a combination of nuggets, round and rondelle gemstones, accented with finely shaped silver bars, faceted round Aventurines and rondelles.The granular appearance and glistening effect of the Aventurine is very evident in this lovely piece. The nuggets are 0.5 x 3/8 inches and the diameter of the round beads is 0.5 inches. The diameter of the smaller, faceted round beads is 3/8 inches. The Necklace is 16.25 inches
and has a hook-shaped Sterling Silver clasp.
Green Aventurine Triple-Strand Necklace
Miriam mixed varying shapes of Green Aventurine and Sterling Silver to create a three-strand necklace that is sure to welcome compliments. The glistening effect of the mica inclusions is beautifully evident in this luxurious Necklace. The nuggets are 0.5 x 3/8 inches and the diameter of the round beads is 0.5 inches.
The diameter of the smaller, faceted round beads is 3/8 inches.
The full length of the Necklace is 20 inches, with graduated strand lengths measuring 15.25, 16.5 and 20 inches.
Green Aventurine & Ocean Jasper
The elegant patterns in the Ocean Jasper gemstones Miriam found, blend perfectly with Green Aventurine and hammered Sterling Silver barrels, large and small rondelles to create a dynamic Necklace. The nuggets are 0.5 x 3/8 inches and the diameter of the round beads is 0.5 inches. The longer barrel-shaped Ocean Jasper gemstones are one inch and smaller stones are just longer than 0.25 inches. Full Necklace length is 23.5 inches
