PICASSO JASPER, RED PICASSO JASPER, & RED CREEK JASPER

PICASSO JASPER (also called Picasso Marble) gets its name because of its lightening-strike black lines and black-to-grey colorations. A new variation of this popular jasper, called RED PICASSO JASPER (or marble), has the same black lightening strikes, but also shows red and reddish brown colorations. Another newer stone comes from the Red Creek mines in China. RED CREEK JASPER has similar lightening-strike patterns, but in vivid shades of golden yellow, rusty red, teals and greens. Playing upon the newer colorations, Miriam teamed her Picasso and Red Creek Jaspers with Moukaite, Ocean Jasper and African Yellowstone. Miriam particularly likes how the African Yellowstone shows a landscape-like pattern, which is also seen in the select Moukaite and Ocean Jasper she used in this Collection.

Picasso Jasper Sticks Necklace & Marquise Pendant

Deep rusty red, toasty brown and muted olive-green dominate the colorations of this two-strand Picasso Jasper Necklace, to which Miriam added a Marquise Pendant in deep tones of red, brown, mauve and a rich golden yellow. Add the Sterling Silver accents to the Necklace and Miriam's Signature Swirls

on the Pendant - and you have a true Work of Art that will make a bold statement! The Pendant stone measures 2.5 x 1.5 inches.

The "Sticks" that form the Necklace range from 0.25 to 0.75 inches. Total Necklace length is 17 inches. Priced at $300.

Picasso Jasper Diamond Necklace

Rich golden honey, toasty browns, red russet, a soft muted teal and olive-green combine to create an eye-catching Necklace, as can be seen in the close-up photo. The diamond-shaped honey-colored Moukaite that Miriam used as the center stone in this mixed Picasso Jasper Necklace is accented on either side by oval African Yellowstones and beautifully carved Sterling Silver rounded bars. This focal point of the necklace measures 4 inches. Each of the stunning Picasso Jasper stones is 0.5 x 0.25 inches.

Picasso & Red Creek Jasper Marquise Necklace

Three golden yellow-toned and wavy marquise-shaped Ocean Jasper gemstones are the focal point of this Picasso and Red Creek Jasper Necklace, which is placed attractively to the side of the Necklace. Each stone is accented on either side by Moukaite rondelles and round carved Sterling Silver bars. The focal point of the necklace measures 5.5 inches. Each of the stunning Picasso Jasper stones is 0.5 x 0.25 inches. The Jasper stones are a lush mix of golden honey, toasty browns, red russet, soft muted teal and olive-green.

Red Creek & Picasso Jasper Necklace - Rainforest Jasper Side Focal Component

The side focal component of this Red Creek & Red Picasso Jasper Necklace is Rainforest Jasper in a very deep olive green, with rusty brown and deep golden yellow colorations. The highly decorated Sterling Silver Bali Beads really set off the side focal statement. Miriam used carved Hill Tribe Sterling Silver tubes at each end of the strand.

Hill Tribe silver beads are crafted by the Karen Hill Tribe in northern Thailand using traditional tribal methods passed down from generation to generation.

No two pieces are exactly alike, attesting to the handmade nature of these beautiful pieces.

The 0.25-inch nuggets that compose the Necklace are rich golden honey, toasty browns, red russet, a soft muted teal and olive-green.

Red Creek & Picasso Jasper Necklace - Rainforest and Australian Picture Jasper Center Focal

The full colorations of this beautiful piece include rich golden honey, toasty browns, red russet, a soft muted teal and olive-green. The center focal component of this Red Creek & Red Picasso Jasper Necklace is composed of Australian Picture and Rainforest Jasper, which show all the rusty reds and browns, and soft olives and teals that distinguish these interesting stones. The intricate Sterling Silver rondelles complete the 2.75-inch focal statement. Miriam used carved Hill Tribe Sterling Silver tubes at each end of the strand.

FANCY & INDIAN JASPERS

FANCY JASPER in beautiful shades of teal, golden yellow, soft browns and rusty-red float gently throughout this delicately carved Pendant. Miriam swirled the sterling silver just enough to compliment the natural look of the 1.75-inch leaf. The full Pendant measures 3 inches. All the colors of the leaf are represented in the 19-inch four-strand Necklace that includes one full strand of natural INDIAN JASPER. Note that the S-shaped Sterling Silver Clasp is accented with a leaf design. The one-inch teal Jasper Earrings also have a swirl of silver and are pumpkin-shaped.

PYRITE earned the name "Fools Gold" when prospectors used to mistake it for the precious metal. The metallic dark grey sheen of this exquisitely carved leaf shows glistening hints of both gold and silver and has a marcasite-like luster. Miriam designed a 4-strand 20-inch Necklace of glass beads that have the same golden-silver sheen, in addition to a strand of deep grey zinc (metal) beads. Miriam designed a Sterling Silver "twisting vine" to suspend this unique Pendant, which is 3.5 inches long.

AFRICAN YELLOWSTONE has opaque to translucent areas, shown here in a landscape-like pattern that only nature can create. This 3.25-inch Pendant is artistically matched to a 20-inch 4-strand Necklace that includes one full strand of brown garnets in varying shades, and three fine glass strands. (The Pendant stone is 1.5 inches long.) BROWN GARNET is also known as Hessonite. Like all Miriam's Custom Collection, the silver accents and clasp are Sterling Silver. Matching Earrings are African Yellowstone with Brown Garnet and Sterling Silver. Earrings measure 1.25 inches.
