and Bracelets. Glass beads in hundreds of colors, finishes, shapes
and sizes are evaluated to create the perfect beaded Necklace
to coordinate with the Pendant gemstones. Even when the same color
beads are used, Miriam varies the arrangements and Sterling Silver

PICTURE JASPER creates a beautiful mountain landscape in brown, tan and cream in a variety of combinations. Miriam's Picture Jasper Collection includes some necklaces with African Brass beads. These unusual beads are made by using the lost art of wax casting - so each brass bead is slightly different.
Picture Jasper & African Brass "Drums" Necklace
The outstanding barrel-shaped Picture Jasper focal stone of this necklace is 1.5 inches. The focal stone is surrounded by rectangular stones measuring 0.5 inches, and rondelle Picture Jasper Stones showing some of the most beautiful patterns in Miriam's Picture Jasper Collection. The drum-shaped basket weave African Brass beads measure 0.75 inches - and are a wonderful compliment to the sterling silver accents. Full necklace length is 19.5 inches. MAGNESITE is sometimes referred to as “White Turquoise” because of its bold brown matrix and its typical “cut” – which is like a bumpy-lumpy nugget. The unique stones selected by Miriam are cut in both ovals and rectangles, and have a smooth polished finish. The soft cream color has a stunning matrix of dark-to-milk chocolate and reddish brown. Magnesite is not Turquoise at all but composed of magnesium carbonate. According to one source, for hundreds of years, many Native Americans, including the Pomo people of California, crafted Magnesite into beads that were used as jewelry and as currency. The beads were considered quite valuable and traded individually - instead of by the strand like most money beads were traded. Miriam combined the Magnesite with Moukaite, "Saturn" Jasper, and accent stones named BRIOCHE JASPER.

MAGNESITE OVAL NECKLACE
The five beautiful MAGNESITE stones in this lively Necklace show unique swirling patterns and measure 1 x 0.75 inches each. Miriam used two matching MOUKAITES (0.5 x 0.75 inches) to accent the Magnesite. Magnesite rondelles and Sterling Silver beading complement the design.
The Sterling Silver S-hook clasp has a spiral design that matches the beautiful natural spirals of the Magnesite.

| MAGNESITE MIXED STONE NECKLACE
There are seven outstanding MAGNESITE stones, two MOUKAITE and two matching "Saturn" Jasper Accent stones in this multi-stone Necklace. The four oval Magnesites measure 1 x 0.75 inches each and the three rectangular Magnesites measure 1-1/8 x 0.75 inches each. The "Saturn" Jasper round stones are 0.75 inches in diameter, and the two Moukaite faceted stones are 0.5 x 0.75 inches. All the stones are almost 0.25 inches thick. Magnesite rondelles, Brioche Jasper heishe-shaped beads, and Sterling Silver complete the creative combination Miriam designed. The full length of the Necklace is 21.5 inches. The three oval focal stones of this pretty Necklace measure 1 x 0.75 inches each, and have a depth of 0.25 inches. Each perfectly polished stone shows the distinctive “landscape” pattern of PICTURE JASPER in shades of brown, tan, sand, creamy white and black. The focal stones are accented by Magnesite and Brioche Jasper rondelles, and large, ornate Sterling Silver beads that compliment the natural Picture Jasper patterns.
